Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha vowed the opposition “will not take a step back”, in a message addressed to the Albanian citizens, published in the social networks. Publishing images from the Sunday’s big rally in the Albanian capital as a clear testimony, Basha hailed the massive participation and strong citizen reaction.

“The people union of June 2 is the greatest assembly of the European Albanians – stolen, violated and betrayed – who demand a solution to the crisis by removing its real cause, a transitional government and free and fair elections”.

“I know every Albanian fights to have the same rights as any European citizen. We ask nothing more but will not accept anything less than the values that unite us: democracy, rule of law and equal justice to all”.

“We will not take even a step back”, Basha vowed.
