An explosion happened at the gate of the house of the Albanian FA President Armand Duka in Durrës on Monday evening.

There are no reports of casualties from the explosion but it is understood the explosive was put at Duka’s house gate.

The serious incident came amid tensions between Duka and Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj. Duka has been asked to renounce from his post and do not run again in the March 2 election.

Hours before the incident, police forces went to Duka family’s business ordered by Premier Edi Rama and Veliaj. The later was recorded saying he would make Duka’s life a living hell with the Prosecution Office and SPAK, the Albanian Special Structure against Corruption.
