‘Correction of an Injustice Engineered Through Rama-Soros Lobbying’ / Berisha: Gratitude to the Trump Administration and Every Albanian Democrat…

Opposition leader Sali Berisha has announced that the U.S. Department of State has reviewed his case and lifted the travel restriction that had barred him and his family members from entering the United States.
 
In a Facebook post, Berisha described the decision as the correction of an injustice and thanked the U.S. administration, as well as Democratic Party supporters and voters, for their solidarity.

Dear friends,
 
As of yesterday, following a thorough review of my case by the Department of State, my family and I are no longer barred from traveling to the United States of America. Therefore, yesterday an unjust decision taken by the previous U.S. administration against me and my family was corrected.
 
On this occasion, I would like to thank President Trump’s administration and Secretary Rubio for correcting this unjust decision, which was entirely based on the corrupt lobbying efforts of Edi Rama and his mentor, George Soros.
 
I also thank my family, my Albanian and international friends, my associates, and the members and supporters of the Democratic Party for their invaluable solidarity and support, which they demonstrated throughout my journey in defense of truth and human dignity.
 
Today, I would also like to express my special gratitude to the more than half a million Albanian citizens who, under the extremely difficult conditions of an electoral autocracy and a narco-regime, voted for me and the Democratic Party.
 
In conclusion, I call on the members and supporters of the Democratic Party to continue our efforts tirelessly to restore free voting and secure the future that Albanian citizens deserve.
