Berisha: The narco-dictator will not remove the Harpy because, in her file, two out of three lines are about Edi Rama

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has strongly accused Prime Minister Edi Rama, labeling him a "narco-dictator" and accusing him of being involved in an ongoing coup to preserve his grip on power.

According to Berisha, this year has begun unlike any other, as Rama has blocked constitutional processes and refused to lift immunity for ministers and MPs accused of corruption, an action the Democratic Party leader describes as a serious violation of the Constitution.

Berisha stressed that the Harpy's case file contains direct evidence of Rama's involvement in corruption scandals, arguing that the prime minister is protecting his personal interests regardless of the consequences for the state and its citizens.

His remarks:

The issue is that Albanians are expecting solutions from the Democratic Party and the opposition, because this government has not only disengaged but has shown complete irresponsibility in its attitude toward citizens.

Ladies and gentlemen, this year begins like no other in the 35-year history of political pluralism. Like no other year. It begins with an ongoing coup by the head of government, the narco-dictator. For the first time in the history of this country and its parliament, the nation's chief thief has blocked the constitutional procedure, the constitutional obligation to lift immunity for deputies and ministers accused by judicial authorities of theft, corruption, and abuse of office. This is an unconstitutional act with very serious consequences for Albania and Albanians. It represents the execution, in full view of the public, of what is called the power of justice, effectively taken entirely into Edi Rama's hands. Our predictions have proven correct. He cannot remove her because in Harpy Balluku's file, out of three lines, two are about Edi Rama. The Harpy categorically refuses and tells him: it is you, and I am behind you. That is the truth. Let us say things as they are. There is no greater thief than her, but he is an even greater one. And now that, in three lines of the file, two concern Rama, he absolutely refuses. He refuses in every way to send her to the dock. He is willing to shut down parliament, trample the Constitution, and create every kind of conflict, but he will not relinquish power.
