Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha accused Premier Edi Rama of helping his former vice premier and former minister Arben Ahmetaj of fleeing the country. Speaking to media reporters in a press conference today, Berisha said Ahmetaj ran ways with Rama’s order.

“According to official documents, Arben Ahmetaj escaped a few hours before the party's prosecution office requested form parliament the permission to arrest him. Apparently, the prosecutor's office, or its supervisors, informed Ahmetaj before they informed the parliament about the decision to arrest him”, said Berisha.

“I might add here that in order not to excite him during the escape, the Special Prosecutor's request was hidden for three days from the country's parliament.

Yesterday, Arben Ahmetaj showed what is the low moral level, the lowest standard of the members of the criminal organization of Edi Rama, his deputies, his ministers, who enrich themselves and their circle by stealing tax money and public assets, as soon as to be called to give explanations, they escape without stepping on their feet.

The escape of Arben Ahmetaj proves that for the members of Edi Rama's criminal organization, responsibility is replaced by theft, and at the end of their career, after they have filled their suitcases with the stolen money, they escape or are sent to an asylum to spend and enjoy their money”.
