Freedom Party Chairman Ilir Meta met today US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Gabriel Escobar to talk about the upcoming mayoral elections of May 14.

“Today I welcomed US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs. Mr. Gabriel Escobar”, Meta said in a press release after the meeting.

“For Albania, the alliance with the United States is fundamental for democracy, economic development, and the safety of the countries of the region.

I underlined that May 14 will be a day of change for all Albanians that will give an end to monism at the local level and will restore democracy, transparence, and accountability in all the municipalities of the country”.
