Albanian Premier Edi Rama called for a common defense system for Europe for cyber security issues. In his address in the Congress of the Party of the European Socialists (PES), Rama spoke about Iran's cyberattacks against Albania, warning others will come.

“I believe we will face many more cyberattacks, not only Albania, but every country, and I find it incredible that Albania has not come up with a common response system when it comes to security”,  Rama said.

He also spoke about the issues of Albanian immigrants to the United Kingdom, a problem with which the British authorities have dealt extensively last summer.

“The British government tells us that we have to stop them. How can it be the job of the Albanian government to put order in the Channel there, I don't know. But I know that if we do not manage to go to the source of the problems, and if we continue to talk about a united Europe and then do not act when it comes to acting together, we will lose, and we will lose a lot”, said Rama. "Democracies have a big disadvantage when it comes to fighting autocracies. The pain threshold for people living in an autocracy is much higher than that of people living in a democracy”.
