Chairman of the Party of Freedom Ilir Meta said the mission of his party will be de-corrupting both the state and the opposition.

The former President said a referendum would be the safest instrument to restore the power to the people, which should be above any political class.

“The Party of Freedom will vote for any initiative that intends transparency for the security issues and any other issue”, said Meta in a press conference in Tirana today.

“The Party of Freedom acknowledges de-corrupting is the main problem. First of all, de-corrupting the opposition which is used from the majority for smoke bombs to distract the attention away from the galloping corruption”.

“Corruption has installed fear, poverty, it has affected seriously the dignity of many Albanian families and, indubitably, the poorer the Albanians are and the more corrupt the gang in power is, the easier it will be to influence the elections”.

Meta warned the current political class will receive a deserved response very soon.
