The Parliament fires director of Financial Authority with 55 votes from Socialist MPs

The Parliament of Albania has dismissed today the executive director of the Authority of Financial Monitoring (AMF) Ms. Enkelejda Shehi, voting 55-20 in favor of the dismissal.

The Socialist MP voted for Shehi’s dismissal, while the LSI deputies were against. The Democrat deputies were absent, since the opposition has boycotted the parliament.

Shehi was fired after being accused of signing illegal orders, threatening the board with gestures and of recruiting persons with conflict of interests.
