The petition for the convocation of the extraordinary National Assembly of the Democratic Party (PD) has been consigned to Chairman of the National Council of PD Edi Paloka. The petition has the signatures of 4200 delegates of the Assembly that call for the convocation on December 11, as announced by former Chairman Sali Berisha during his last meeting with party members in Pogradec. The document delivered to Paloka contains the signatures, the reason for the convocation, and its agenda.
The party base has called for Basha’s resignation and the National Assembly after he suspended Berisha from the democrat parliamentary group. Basha ignored calls, which led to Berisha’s tour in the country to meet the base and the petition signed by Assembly delegates, which have the power to call the Assembly in session.
