Democratic Party MP and former Minister of the Interior Flamur Noka wrote Albanian Premier Edi Rama will leave power only after the Democratic Party will get rid of his hostage, Chairman Lulzim Basha.

Noka wrote on his Facebook page that instead of ousting Rama from power, Basha is ousting Democrats from their party.

“Basha has been serving Rama for eight years by doing everything to let him stay in power”, the former Interior Minister in Sali Berisha’s government wrote.

“Instead of ousting Rama from power, his hostage Basha has chosen to oust the Democrats from the party in order to keep his chair and take care of his own interests. The fastest way to oust Rama is by freeing the Democratic Party from his hostage. The opposition needs a leader, not a hostage chairman”.

Noka also wrote December 11 will be the day when the Democratic Party will return to the Democrats and to its mission to make Rama leave power, referring to the National Assembly announced by former Chairman Berisha, despite Basha’s refusal to convoke it.
