Basha charges into the lectern, the National Guard intervenes as Rama enjoys the opposition ‘action’

Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha argued in the parliament today with Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu about the pandemics and deaths in Albania.

As the minister returned to the lectern to reply to Basha, the Democrat leader approached to her repeating the accusations and requesting from Speaker Lindita Nikolla to follow procedures.

The National Guard effectives intervened immediately to calm the situation, however tension did not last long.

Basha continued to speak from the lectern, whereas Premier Edi Rama with a mask on his face seemed to enjoy the spectacle of making strong opposition.

The opposition leader said the government has lied about the number of deaths from the coronavirus. He said 16,000 persons more than the last years’ average lost their lives in 2020.
