The Democratic Party has continued to make public evidence of votes’ buy-out from Edi Rama’s government prior to the April 25 election.

Democrat MP-elect said in a press statement the government delivered €125 million in the first months of 2021 for 11 municipalities in the form of reconstruction money.

“All of these transfers were approved and allocated after January 1, 2021 in violation of the Electoral Code that strictly prohibits it during the last four months prior to the Election Day”, Tabaku said.

"Each day we are publishing more and more facts, evidence and data about the biggest election theft in history committed by the Rama-Doshi-Rakipi regime. The victims of this electoral at the hands of Rama-Doshi-Rakipi regime are Albanian citizens”, she continued.

“Today we are making public evidence several times heavier regarding the election rigging operation with the large-scale engagement of all institutions. The updated figure of unconditional government transfers for these 11 municipalities is €124.4 million dedicated to reconstruction alone.

Of these, €73 million were given to the Municipality of Tirana, about €12 million to the Municipality of Durrës, €10.4 million to Kurbin, €5.8 million to Kavaja, €4.8 million to Kamza, and so on. All of these transfers were approved and allocated after January 1, 2021 in violation of the Electoral Code which strictly prohibits this during the last four months prior to the election date".
