Avdulla Hoti is the new Prime Minister of Kosovo after receiving the necessary number of votes, 61, in the parliament today. It is the minimum required to approve the new coalition cabinet, with 24 MPs voting against, and one abstained.

Hoti introduced his cabinet with four deputy prime ministers and 18 ministers. Hoti was given the green light after the Constitutional Court’s ruling that sanctioned President Hashim Thaçi’s Decree to form the government.

Lëvizja Vetëvendosje (The Movement Self-determination) of predecessor Albin Kurti, winner of the elections, did not attend the session, demanding new elections.
