Albanian President Ilir Meta said today he has no problems with Premier Edi Rama, but the later sometimes finds it difficult to live in harmony with the democracy, political pluralism and free and fair elections.
Meta was speaking to Estonian state television about the local elections of June 30 which were boycotted by the opposition but went ahead with the participation of only the ruling Socialist Party.
The President accepted it shows that Albania is not passing “the best moments of democracy”.
“I have no problems with him. Sometimes he finds it difficult to live in harmony with the democracy, political pluralism and free and fair elections, but these are the foundations for a democratic and (pro) European country”, Meta said.
