Albanian Premier Edi Rama made a visit in Fier, 100 km south off Tirana, today and celebrated the Women’s Day with local women but many citizens gathered in a protest rally and clashed with the police.
The protesters said they only wanted to protest peacefully and were not a threat to the Prime Minister.
Earlier, a number of residents made calls to Rama to leave the city and return home. The protest took place in the road that connects Fier with Roskovec, with the slogans “Rama go” and “We want Albania like the entire Europe”.
