Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha has exposed today what he called “the crime of all crimes”, the obtaining of 10-15 mandates of the Socialist majority thanks to links with the criminal gangs. Basha said the evidence is clear, starting with the gangs of MP Rrahman Rraja and his son that secured Rama’s victory in the county of Krujë, and going on with the other counties of the country.

"Today we have the evidence: the official recordings of the Prosecution that have discovered how Socialist MPs and ministers have collaborated with criminality to steal the votes of the citizens and come to power”, Basha said. “We are determined to go to the end of this case, to make it impossible for Rama’s servants in the Prosecution to bury these files; to make possible the execution of warrants for Rama’s accomplices like (Durrës Mayor) Vangjush Dako”.

Basha added the votes of the citizens had no value for as long as they were stolen by the criminal groups associated to the Socialist Party.

“The criminals of Fushë Krujë stole votes. The Rraja clan was the only staff of the Socialist Party in (the district of) Krujë, and Rraja junior feels he’s our opponent so much that it looks like we do not gave the Socialists as opponents there”, said Basha, referring to the warning of MP Rrahman Rraja’s son who – while going before the judge over rape charges – said to the TV cameras: “Basha will see who I am in the next elections”.
