An Albanian citizen has been arrested over calls for terrorist attacks and support for the Islamic State. Bledar Zeneli was arrested after a two-year coordinated investigation of the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Serious Crimes (SPAK) and the Directorate of Anti-Terror.

Zeneli is accused of posting news articles, materials of radical, extremist and propagandistic content on Facebook, Twitter, and Telegram in support of ISIS and against the global coalition against terrorism.

He is accused of committing the criminal offenses of “Incitement, calls, and propaganda for the commission of acts with terrorist intent” and “Incitement of hatred or strife” provided by articles 232/a and 265 of the Albanian Criminal Code.
