Leader of the Democratic Party parliamentary group Edmond Spaho condemned Speaker Gramoz Ruçi’s manners in chairing the sessions of the parliament.

Invited in host Roland Qafoku’s “Debate on Channel One”, in front of a panel of journalists made of Syri.net’s Artan Cena and Tedi Blushi and Plator Nesturi, Spaho said Ruçi reached the climax when he interrupted the speech of former Premier Sali Berisha.

“I’m not talking about Mr. Berisha’s minutes, but interrupting one’s speech when they say ‘allow me just to finish my thought’ is unacceptable”, Spaho said.

Should Ruçi really want to enforce the regulation then he must have the courage to interrupt Premier Edi Rama as well which very often changes the topic of the discussion, Spaho added.

“The most recent case was in the last sessions, when another issues was being discussed and the Prime Minister presented the structure of the government’s institutions. Why didn’t Mr. Ruçi interrupt his speech”, Spaho asked.

“If Ruçi promises to apply the regulation, he must do it for both the majority and the opposition”, the Democrat group leader said, adding that PD might go as far as boycotting the parliament sessions should Ruçi change not his manners.

Spaho also proposed for a parliament with 100 deputies instead of 140 and the elections be compulsory and held with a proportional system, with electronic voting and counting.
