Chairman of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) Petrit Vasili has revealed in a meeting with party youths why his party did not win the elections of June 25, where they were expecting to emerge as the first political force in Albania. Vasili said the votes of LSI have been bought massively by the crime. “LSI would have twice as many votes had they not been affected by the money of drugs and criminals”, Vasili told a youth camp in Jala’s beach, in south Albania.

“It is an undisputable fact LSI reached its highest result ever, but this is not the actual result. Had it not been for the drugs and crime’s money, LSI’s result would have been twice as much”, Vasili said.

He added the opposition is not a question of number, but a question or moral and they should stand against the injustices made to the citizens by a government that has been taken hostage by its ugly interests.
