The Constitutional Court has announced today the decision of Elvis Rroshi’s dismissal from the function of the Mayor of Kavaja.

The Court explained in an 11-pages ruling, voted 8-0, that the decision of Central Electoral Commission for the mandate removal and the subsequent one of the Council of Ministers for Rroshi’s dismissal were constitutional.

According to the Constitution, President Bujar Nishani has 48 hours to decree the date of the new elections for the municipality of Kavaja, which must be held within 45 days.
