Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha said the resignation of the State Intelligence Service (SHISH) chief Visho Ajazi was a direct consequence of the political pressure. Ajazi presented his irrevocable resignation to President Ilir Meta on Friday.

"I do not have concrete information”, Basha told media reporters. “But one thing is sure, SHISH, which prepares reports over the implication of police in the drugs traffic, is an animosity to Edi Rama and his power. I have no other conclusion but the political pressure. I think everything is being done to close Saimir Tahiri’s affair. But the international community will not allow Albania to turn into a failed country, captured by the gangs. This issue is not over, it will open in the next days”.
