UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin will visit Albania next week amid a tense situation caused by political interference in the Albanian FA presidential election that will take place on March 2.
It is understood Ceferin will visit Tirana on Monday and will meet Albanian Premier Edi Rama.
In the recent days, Tirana’s Mayor Erion Veliaj has attacked Albanian FA President Armand Duka but has insisted his attacks are not politically motivated.
On Monday evening, a blast took place at Duka’s house gate in Durrës, following a SMS a few days earlier threatening him “with 60 bullets to his head” unless he withdrew from running for another presidential term.
