Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has rejected the possibility of a meeting with his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama unless it is within a meeting of both governments.

Rama will visit Kosovo capital Prishtina tomorrow where he will start his Balkans tour for the preparations of the Berlin Process Summit that is scheduled in October.

“I am ready to meet Rama in the framework of a meeting of the two governments”, Kurti told media reporters in a press conference today.

He appealed to the Albanian Prime Minister to hold the cancelled meeting of the Kosovo and Albanian government.

“I am in direct contact with Prime Minister Rama. This tour is for the preparations for the Summit of the Berlin Process that will be held in October. I asked him friendly, since he’ll stay for two days and one night, to hold the meeting of the governments that was canceled without any reason. There were 13 agreements (to be discussed), they should not remain in the shelves. Every wasted day is in the citizens’ harm. The Berlin Process is very important, I have supported and will continue to support it”, said Kurti.
