The leader of the Albanian opposition Sali Berisha congratulated the United States of America on the occasion of the Independence Day. The former Prime Minister wrote July 4^th is a blessed day for Albanians as well.

“The Nation of Freedom celebrates the Independence Day, the 247^th anniversary of its Independence”, wrote Berisha. “In these 247 years, the great American Nation transformed the United States of America in the freest, most powerful, most developed, and most prospered country in the planet and contributed more than any other nation for the freedom of the oppressed and conquered countries in the whole world. For us, Albanians, an orphan nation with a very hard history, this is a blessed day, because in all of our critical moments we were lucky to have the United States by our side.
