Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, commented the tensions in north of the country and Albania’s position. Speaking on the morning show “Kafe shqeto” on Syri TV, Krasniqi said Kosovo is being left alone right in the moment it needs Albania most.

“Yes, there is a crisis between Albania and Kosovo. In a time when the West is isolating us due to the disappointment with our government we are being isolated by Albania as well. Now we need Albania more than ever, I don’t know whether any door has remained open to us. With whom will we talk, if we shut the doors with the United States, with Europe, and even with Albania? We need change, a rest, a different approach and a reprogramming of the government in rapport to everyone”, said Krasniqi.

He added that the cancelation from Albanian Premier Edi Rama of the meeting of the two governments broke a fine tradition that had started with the former Prime Ministers Hashim Thaçi and Sali Berisha and produced a good cooperation.

Krasniqi said the kidnapping of the three Kosovar police officers from Serbian forces inside Kosovo territory was a clear act of aggression from Serbia against Kosovo.
