Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha denounced the corruptive practices of the Socialist Party that led to an electoral farce on May 14. In the meeting of the Democrat parliamentary group today, Berisha said the opposition will not acknowledge the outcome of the mayoral elections where votes were bought by crime exponents and representatives of the Socialist Party.

The Democrat chief accused Premier Edi Rama of standing behind the electoral farce and said the head of the government intermediated for a truce among five criminal gangs only with the intention of stealing the citizens’ votes.

He explained the massive devaluation of Euro with the massive votes’ buy-out from the Socialist candidates.

Bersiah also promised a thorough analysis inside the Democratic Party, at all levels and implementing the party statutes to the letter.
