"Lulzim Basha rejected yesterday Edi Rama’s offer to bargain with the new justice. Rama’s offer shows in the sunlight how he and his Renaissance see the new justice and Vetting: A bargain among politicians, a bargain among Rama, Meta and Basha”.

This is what former minister of Justice Eduard Halimi wrote in his Facebook page.

"This is a bargain to share the persons of justice that will do the vetting, will put to quarantine judges and prosecutors and will appoint “clean” judges and prosecutor that will investigate and judge the politicians, minister, deputies, director”, continued the Democrat deputy.

“The bargain Rama is offering would leave again in the future Premier’s hands the decision on vetting the justice persons (two directors close to the Prime Minister), no matter what the names of the Prime Minister and his two men’s are”.

“Indubitably, this is never the new justice the citizens are expecting. They do not expect the Vetting to be performed in September either from Premier Basha, or Rama or Meta. The citizens expect the vetting of the judges to be carried out by independent, capable and trustable persons, necessarily away from politics”.

“The new justice can never be a bargain among politicians, be them Lulzim Basha, Edi Rama, Ilir Meta or anybody else in the years to come. That’s why I judge Basha’s decision to refuse Rama’s offer as the right decision”.
