A few days ago, the media reported on an announcement made by the DEA, the American Drug Enforcement Agency, where Albanian citizens were asked to report cases of drug trafficking, abuse of office and money laundering, bypassing Albanian law enforcement institutions. the law, as well as guaranteeing the anonymity of whistleblowers.

Such an announcement is the first time it happens not only in Albania, where American agencies bypass state institutions and establish direct contact with citizens.

It comes shortly after the Prime Minister of the country forcibly replaced the two main leaders of the agencies responsible for the fight against organized crime; that of the police and SHISH, both people who were known as "people of the Americans", replacing them with party militants.

First, the DEA must go to SHISH, to the office of the deputy director commanded as Director, and ask for the reasons for Florian Bush's secret visit to Olian Kanushi's office, on January 20 of this year, Friday, at 5:00 p.m. , hours when the institution was empty of employees.

Bushi is a former SHISH agent, and is not unknown to the Albanian public, nor to the partner agencies. In 2016, he was arrested by the police in the case of the murder of citizen Denis Kasaj in an assassination attempt by Ilir Memushaj. At that time, Bush was accused by the State Police of having passed on information about Denis Kasaj, obtained from the interceptions he carried out in his work at SHISH, and this information, including the information on the cars in which the victim was driving, his killers. .

The Prosecution of Serious Crimes at the time managed to discover the communications between the SHISH employee, Bushi, and the murderer Memushaj. In his testimony before the Serious Crimes Court, Bush admitted that he knew the killer. The court kept him in prison, and the prosecutor's office charged him with abuse of office, a charge different from that of the police, who had accused him of being an accomplice in the murder.

Bush is not unknown to the Socialist Party either. He is the brother of Eno Bush, the lawyer of the Socialist Party, who is also known as the lawyer of Italian pilot Giorgio Riformato, who in 2015 crashed his plane in Divjakë, transporting drugs.

The distrust of the American DEA towards the Albanian partner agencies seems to be closely related to the names that lead these agencies. Earlier in the media it was written that the deputy director of SHISH, who was appointed as director after the violent departure of director Helidon Bendo, had ordered a polygraph test for all employees of the unit who were involved in cooperation with partner agencies in the fight against drug trafficking , including the DEA, as a way to get rid of them.

Earlier also, in November 2022, the Iranian hackers of 'Homeland Justice', published on the Telegram channel data of employees of the State Intelligence Service, in a document of 16 pages, in which the names were listed, which according to them were employees of SHISH. Many of them were employees of counterintelligence and the unit of the fight against drug trafficking, "Hunter" and "Ghost".

The theft of sensitive data, such as the names and data of SHISH employees, was carried out under the noses of the deputy director Kanushi, who under normal conditions should have resigned immediately and bear legal responsibility.

On the other hand, he did not take any measures to preserve or cover the data of SHISH employees after the publication, irreparably damaging the work and activity of SHISH, but also endangering the lives of the de-conspiratorial employees.
