Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha posted a video today showing how Albanian Premier Edi Rama has changed his attitude concerning former FBI Special Agent Charles McGonigal. The video shows Rama speaking about the former officer of FBI counterintelligence before and after his arrest in New York.

“This is what Edi Rama has said before and after the arrest of Charles McGonigal, whom, according to the documents, he managed to corrupt and use against the opposition”, Berisha wrote on his Facebook page.

“Rama before the arrest of McGonigal: What Russians, what Russians of mine? The FBI Counterintelligence Chief has been and continues to be a friend of mine, no doubt about that”.

“Rama after the arrest of McGonigal: First of all, the word ‘friend’ is a very big word. I spoke in English about the nature of this relationship, and I said a 'friendly relationship'. Did I meet an FBI senior official? Yes, I did. Did I meet an FBI senior official several times? Yes, I did and that is not a reason to draw new conclusions”.
