The 110^th anniversary of Albania’s Independence had many Albanian from all the territories and also from the Diaspora gathered in Vlora, the city where Ismail Qemali declared the Independence from Turkey on November 28, 1912.

However the citizens confirmed that the celebrations this year lacked enthusiasm and linked the lower attendance with the massive departures from the country.

High level politicians were present in the festivities, but the citizens said the patriotism should not be shown only in a single day.
