Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha said the opposition will protest outside the prime ministry on December 6 when EU representatives will hold negotiations with the Albanian government in the framework of the country’s EU integration.

“The Democratic Party has announced the police about the rally. The Constitution of Albania and the Constitutional Court have decided that for the police authorization is quite unnecessary for a rally”, Berisha said in a press conference today, adding he has the full understanding of former President, now Freedom Party Chairman Ilir Meta.

Berisha spoke also about the opposition amendments that were dropped by the Socialist majority in the parliament on Thursday.

“The opposition introduced tens of amendments for the budget. I’m telling you they were the most rational proposals that included every range, did not bypass any problem created by the crisis. The amendments would be a relief of pains and were a message for a radical turn in transforming the budget in a budget for the citizens instead of the state thieves. Every amendment was rejected, including one presented by the Socialist MP Erion Braçe, which nothing but relieving the farmers from the raised prices of urea, nitrate, and other agricultural inputs. No excuse, they were simply rejected cynically”.
