Freedom Party Chairman Ilir Meta met Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha today to talk about the cooperation between the two opposition parties for the local elections that are scheduled to take place on May 14 next year. After the meeting, Meta spoke to media reporters and confirmed Berisha and he talked about the local elections but did not give a candidate name for Tirana’s Municipality, saying it will be decided by joint primaries in both parties.

However, after reporters insisted asking whether the candidate would be a politician, Meta responded “a super politician”.

“We are in sync. The future Mayor and the future chairman of the city council will make a remarkable spectacle in a few months. The Freedom Party respects the primaries, this is an extraordinary novelty. We have promising candidates and they will be included in joint primaries with the Democratic Party”, said Meta.
