Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha had a meeting with citizens of Erseka, South Albania, today, where he repeated his accusations against Premier Edi Rama, for which Berisha said that intends to make Albania a part of the old Yugoslavia.

Rama has supported Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s Open Balkans initiative.

“In blatant opposition to our national interests, (after the war) Belgrade made efforts to turn Albania into the seventh republic of Yugoslavia”, said Berisha. “Today, Rama is doing everything, through Open Balkans, to make it, as Vučić says, the old Yugoslavia plus Albania. He intends to make Albania a part of the old Yugoslavia”.
