Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha repeated his invitation to Albanian citizens to join the opposition rally against Edi Rama’s government tomorrow in Tirana and warned the police against provoking the demonstrators.

“The situation is incandescent, the dissatisfaction and hate for the government have reached the sky”, Berisha said in a press conference today after the presentation of the new book “Shqipëria në rrezik” (Albania in danger).

“The government’s insensibility is as big (as the hate against it). Let’s not forget that nothing can defeat just causes”, said the former Prime Minister.

“I invite every citizen to contribute with their presence in the rally’s success. I also warn all the branches of police that any pressure and effort to intimidate, violate, and incapacitate the opposition people will be recorded and will receive the deserved personal legal punishment. I warn them not to provoke the protesters. The temperatures are high these days, but the people’s inner temperatures against the regime are even higher”.

Berisha also appealed to his successor since 2013, Edi Rama, to consider his resignation from the Prime Minister’s post.
