Albanian Premier Edi Rama has criticized the endless constructions in the capital Tirana that has worsened the quality of the citizens’ lives. Meta condemned the government’s policy and said “the liberation of Tirana from this asphyxiation is patriotic and citizen obligation”.

The President made his remarks commenting the latest reports of the dirty money circulation and laundering through the construction industry in the Albanian capital.

“One of our nation’s brightest minds rightfully compared Tirana to ‘a concrete and asphalt jungle’, transformed into a laundry of the dirty money of traffics and corruption, disfigured and portraying at its best that sect that appreciates neither the past nor the future of our nation, that has destroyed every cultural and historic heritage while implementing a denationalizing project where money is more important than the values”, President Meta wrote on his Facebook page.
