Democratic Party MP Edi Paloka said Democrats have no more time to waste and appealed to the followers of the two factions either to unite or move on in separate ways.

He wrote the “unification remains a necessity if we want to overthrow Rama”.

“It is clear that within the parliamentary group, unlike the will of the absolute majority of the MPs, there are persons that follow a path of dividing the group”, Paloka wrote.

“L. B. (former chairman Lulzim Basha) assumed the responsibility for his personal decision (expelling Sali Berisha from the parliamentary group – Syri) that brought as consequence the division of the Democratic Party and the situation we are today”.

“Unfortunately, this line, which interests only to Rama, is still followed by two or three MPs….

… We did not force you to apologize for everything that brought us to this point, even though it would have been normal, we assumed L.B. took away with him all the responsibilities. But, after all this, acting like you live in another world, out of  reality, and make pretend like (National Assembly of) December 11, (the party referendum of) December 18, and (mayoral by-election of) March 6 never happened and try to return the Democrats exactly at the point where the division started, in my opinion, this is not merely naivety”, Paloka wrote.

“If anyone, for certain interests, continues in the line of division that was cooked by Rama and served by L.B. on September 9, they must follow their own path. Anyone who has the will for unification has the chance to show it today. Democrat have lost enough time, we have no more time and energies to waste with one another”.
