The historic leader of the Albanian Democrats Sali Berisha announced he will participate in the meeting of the Democratic Party parliamentary group summoned by acting chairman Enkelejd Alibeaj tomorrow at nine.
Berisha told media reporters he was notified by his fellow MPs for the meeting and said he will be present, declaring there is only one parliamentary group. The former Albanian Prime Minister and President was expelled from the parliamentary group last September after a decision taken by the disgraced former chairman Lulzim Basha.
“I will be the first to be present in that meeting. Sali Berisha has a major absolute obligation from to Democrat National Assembly of December 11, confirmed by the December 18 referendum and March 6 elections”, said Berisha.
Asked whether he had communicated with the head of the parliamentary group for a joint meeting (of the MPs from the two factions), Berisha said there are no separate groups.
“There is only one (Democrat) parliamentary group, I have said and will repeat it, because you divide it, no it is not divided”.
