Former Albanian Premier Sali Berisha confirmed the Correctional Court of Paris, France, has accepted his lawsuit for defamation against US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Last May, Secretary Blinken announced the public designation of Berisha due to his involvement in significant corruption. Berisha and his immediate family members were banned from entering the United States. However, Blinken offered no evidence to support his decision, also after Berisha publicly challenged him to offer any kind of proof he could have.

"I’d like to share with you the news that the Judge in Paris has accepted Sali Berisha’s lawsuit versus Blinken. I invite Secretary of State Antony Blinken to present to the Court of Paris every proof, facts, or documents he has for Sali Berisha. But I guarantee you, he has zero evidence”, Berisha said in Kavaja, during a meeting with Democratic Party members and supporters.

"I had already sold my problem. I had chosen my path and here in front of you I say long live justice”.
