Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha introduced today his book “My Mission” in a meeting with university students. Presenting the book, Basha said it is not a mere autobiography, but an open letter addressed to all Albanian citizens.

“The book, to its very core, is an open letter; it isn’t a simply auto-biographical confession and it also isn’t simply a representation of our plan to take Albania out of this crisis because the book has started to take form way before the starting of the electoral engines”, he said.

More than anyone, says Basha, this book is addressed to the youth. “It is an invitation first and foremost for the youth,” he said.

During his book launch in front of students, Basha also discovered the reasons that led him to write this book.

“The idea that I have had for a long time and that was transformed into this open letter for Albanians, has since the beginning been triggered by my desire to put something into paper, something about the rapport between Albanians and the state, and the state with Albanians. This led to me also saying something about myself, and why I am here and how I being here actually happened”, said the Democrat leader.

Basha said that this book was written during the last spring when the country was under quarantine because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
