Tirana’s Deputy Mayor Arbian Mazniku rejected accusations there is a conflict of interest of the government officials that were dining in a top restaurant in Dubai with the bill paid by a private company.
Speaking on Çim Peka LIVE on Syri TV, Mazniku said it is necessary “to use all the possible ways to draw foreign investors to Albania”.
He added they were there for a technical agreement, to which Peka responded that “there’s no technical agreement with a politic position holder such as the minister”.
Other guests said the timing of the visit to Dubai was a scandal, considering the country is under water from the recent floods.
“Four TV teams were with us, they filmed the meetings, made interviews and showed them on public television channels”, Mazniku said, adding they had frequented other restaurants, perhaps even more expensive than Nusreet, with everything paid by the foreign investor.
Regarding the presence of the wife of Endri Fuga, Edi Rama’s adviser, Mazniku said she was invited there privately.
