No surprises! As expected, the case related to the famous investigative file 184 for the vote buy-out in Dibra was closed by the local Prosecution Office.  

After the conclusion of the investigation, the prosecution dropped the charges for four defendants:

Robert Aga, former chief of Dibra Police Department, accused of abuse of office.

Drini Gjeçi, former director of education in district of Dibra, accused of abuse of office and threatening of voters.

Nuri Meda, official in the administrative unit Tomin, accuses of abuse of office.

Hasan Hoti, official in the administrative unit, accused of threatening of voters.

The prosecution has asked to drop charges also for the other defendants: Dionis Imeraj, Imer Lala, Arben Keshi, Bekim Krashi, Afrim Mikli, and others. The prosecution has reached the conclusion they have committed the offence of vote buying, but they cannot be prosecuted criminally on account of the expiration of the 3-year term.

The investigative file 184 was transferred at least five times from Dibra to Tirana’s prosecution and SPAK, till the later decided to pass it definitely to the Prosecution Office of Dibra.
