Former Albanian Premier Sali Berisha commemorated the victims of the devastating earthquake of November 26 2019, saying 38 out of 51 deceased persons were victims of state murders.

“Out of 51 victims, 38 were state murders, because they all lost their lives because continued to live in apartments and houses that became uninhabitable after the earthquake a few months before November 26”, Berisha wrote, referring to the 5.6 magnitude earthquake of September 21, which left only a few hundreds of persons not seriously injured, but damaged many buildings, some of them deemed as uninhabitable later.

“Today, a year later, there is no punishment for the murders of 38 victims, which were state murders;, no punishment for the directly responsible persons for the low quality of the buildings that collapsed like made of paper. No punishment for the total lack of readiness of the civil emergency, which cost human lives”.

The former Prime Minister wrote that 3000 families live in inhumane conditions in tents, because not even a single building has been built to house them.
