Former Interior Minister Sajmir Tahiri is under investigation by the Prosecution for Serious Crimes, following the arrest of his cousin Moisi Habilaj in Italy over charges of international drugs trafficking. Today the former minister says that anyone that commits offences must be punished, no matter who they are. However, he had a different opinion when the Democratic Party requested his resignation from the post of minister due to his relation with the Habilajs. At that time, Tahiri said Habilajs were not criminals, but even if they were, he was had no responsibility for selling them his car.
