Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha said today he will withdraw from his request for free and fair elections. Basha made his declaration from the opposition tent, where he welcomed the chairman of the foreign committee in the Hungarian Parliament, Zsolt Nemeth.
Hungarian Deputy Nemeth said he brought a “message from the Hungarian people and government”.
“You are not alone. I want to congratulate you for your resistance, your 76-day challenge. It proves Albania has reached its dawn. Good morning Albania! We fought together with your national hero Scanderbeg; we also fought communism together with your former Premier Sali Berisha. Our battle was not an easy one, but the victory was extraordinary”, Nemeth said.
