Albanian journalist Aida Topalli said the woman that trapped former Mayor of Kukës Safet Gjici into a sexual act in his office is a well-known character in recording erotic videos with men to blackmail them later.

Gjici was caught on camera performing oral sex with the woman in his office which led to his immediate resignation before the government’s meeting to dismiss him.

Topalli said the woman lives in the Durrës area and a few weeks ago she was reported to the police for another similar case. Allegedly, the woman picks up local or central government officials that she lures in having sex and then blackmails them with intimate videos.

“The woman in the video is not an employee of the municipality of Kukes, we have learnt her dentity, but for ethical reasons we cannot make it public. She is also a mother of children and we prefer not to tell her full name”, Topalli told television EuroNews Albania.

“There are several videos of officials circulating that were made in such ways to blackmail them or to oust them from the political scene”.
