Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha made a public invitation to all the Democrat MPs to overcome their differences and unite. Berisha made his call during a live conversation with Democrat supporters in Facebook and Instagram.

“I think the elections are a test, a test for every political force in the world. Apart from Basha and Alibeaj, I don't know of any other Democrat MP that did not support the candidates voted in the party primaries. In this context, the truth is they stayed within the principles of the Statutes and of the Democratic Party” said Berisha.

“I read the messages of Democrats and non-Democrats to the best of my ability. In this series of endless messages, there are also those that escape me for various reasons. But no message goes unanswered.

I make my invitation public again, they are welcome. I said it before, that the MPs with whom the disagreements were evident, generally took their positions, supported or did not oppose the candidates of the primaries, an act that I appreciate. I invite them to negotiate, to unite in the greater interest of Albanian democracy”.
