Freedom Party Chairman Ilir Meta criticized Edi Rama’s “schizophrenic” government for its efforts to silence the media, citizens and the opposition.

Former President Meta recalled the shutdown of Agon Channel by Rama’s government which cost at least €110 million to Albanians after its owner, the Italian entrepreneur Francesco Becchetti sued the government to an international arbitration court.

“Albanians will pay 110 million Euros. Why? Because of the violation of the law from Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj against the media, aiming to shut them up”, Meta said in an electoral meeting in Koplik, north Albania.

“They want to shut up the media, journalists, citizens, opposition because they want to steal in a schizophrenic manner, which is happening and we all are witnessing it”.
