The opposition mayoral candidate for Tirana Belind Këlliçi said today a moratorium on constructions for a period of six months or one year will be considered. Këlliçi, who is the candidate of the Democratic Party and Freedom Party coalition Together We Win, told Ora News TV that Tirana is the only capital in the world where a building without permit is being constructed right in front of the Mayor’s office. “We are considering a moratorium on construction for a period of 6 months or 1 year, to stop the concretization of Tirana, and to review the permits. Tirana is the only capital in the world that has an unauthorized in front of the mayor's office and where there are 7 floors without permission. There are thousands of citizens who cannot change the bathroom tiles because the municipal police come. This became public and the mayor said he had not seen it”, said Këlliçi. “The city must also develop in the other poles, which the current mayor has not done”.
