Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha appealed to the Democrat MPs to be ready for a serious battle in the Albanian parliament against the Socialist majority that is doing everything to ignore Premier Edi Rama’s scandal with former FBI senior agent Charles McGonigal and consider it only as an invention of the opposition.

The Democrat MPs started a petition for the creation of an inquiry committee for the case after Rama did not appear in the parliament today, despite the interpellation called from the opposition.

“Rama is trying to get away with a diplomatic flu. This time he won’t”, Berisha addressed to the Democrat MPs.

“The parliament cannot have even a minute of normal work except a motion with debate against Edi Rama. We must prepare for powerful resistance in the parliament. We cannot accept a Prime Minister like Edi Rama. He must be there and we must show his real face to the citizens. He must be there and open the debate for such a terrible affair where Taulaunt Balla and Damian Gjiknuri, loyal spokespersons of the Russian interests in Albania, are also involved”.
